- Small round object or circle template
- Pencil
- Blue, green, and white crayons
- Scissors
- Small bowl
- White craft glue
- Single hole punch
- Black plastic cord
- Hair dryer
Instructions
- Trace the circle template onto the cardboard and cut it out.
- Cut the crayons into small chunks. You'll want the white to be smaller and fewer than the other colors.
- Place the cardboard circle in a small bowl to keep it and the crayon pieces from getting blown away.
- Glue the crayon chunks onto the cardboard.
Glue the crayon chunks to the cardboard circle. - Use the hair dryer on a hot, low setting to melt the crayon chunks slowly and move the melted wax around the circle.
- Once all the crayon bits are melted, let dry completely.
Allow the melted wax to dry completely. - Optional Step: Flip the cardboard over and repeat the process to make an earth-like image on both sides of the ornament. This may cause some melting on the original side, so be sure it's on a protected surface.
- Punch a hole near the center top of the cardboard.
- String the plastic cord through the hole and tie it in a knot to make a hanger.
